I arrived in Australia!
The first thing I felt was how clean the air was and how peaceful the scenery looked, like beautiful countryside. It felt as if I were a cowboy in the Wild West!
After that, we had a bumpy bus ride for about an hour, attended an orientation, and finally met our host family.
Our host family was very kind. Even though our English wasn't very good, they stayed close to us and made sure we had a fun time.
The people we met along the way were nice too — a 16-year-old cafe worker who could speak Japanese, a kind old woman at the nature center, and the people we met at the supermarket.
Also, the farm experience was very precious to me. We started by making food for the horses. Later, with a beautiful sunset in the background, we played catch with a dog. It became an experience I will never forget.
